You may shop around and find less expensive teddy bear makers, however here are some questions you should ask and receive satisfactory answers:

1. Do you do all your own work?
   
2. Do you line the fur with backing to prevent tears?
   
3. Do you offer different patterns and sizes?
   
4. Do you examine the fur for dryness before cutting into it? Some furs won't stand up to the test of time because they are dried out.
   
5. Can bears be viewed at your home if desired?
   
6. Would you send pictures of prior bears?
